What signage do we need?

Every wedding is different and so there is no set list of wedding signage you need.  I would recommend the most important pieces are a table plan, table numbers and place cards and then you can layer in welcome signs, order of the day signs, menus and ceremony signage if needed.

When should we get in touch?

I would suggest reserving your space in my diary at least 6 months before your wedding day.  The earlier the better, so we can perfect the finer details.  I can work to tighter deadlines though, so pop me an email to hello@clarewarrencalligraphy.co.uk to find out if I can help.

When do you need our final guest list?

I ask for this 4-6 weeks before your wedding day depending on the final design of your table plan.  If you ask for your RSVP's to be returned 8 weeks before your wedding then this gives you time to finalise the information your other wedding suppliers need.

What if there are last minute guest changes?

Last minute changes unfortunately do happen.  Just let me know as soon as possible and I will try my very best to make any adjustments to your stationery.

Do we need place cards and a table plan?

Accepted Answer

A table plan tells guests which table they are sitting at, place cards tell them which seat.  I would always recommend both to keep your day flowing smoothly, however for more intimate weddings, you may only need one.  I can advise you on which will work for your day.

What size signage do I need?

The size depends on a few things:  1.  What the sign is e.g. welcome sign, order of the dayHow much space you have at your venueWhat you will be displaying the sign onI can help you to decide the best option as well as the perfect colour to seamlessly tie in with your other wedding decor.

How far in advance do we need to order?

I like to start discussing your invitations 12 weeks before you would like to send them out.  This allows time for designing, printing, assembling and sending to you for posting. When should we send our invitations?

Save the date cards are usually sent around 12 months before your wedding date.  Your invitations can then follow about 3-4 months before your big day.  If you are having a destination wedding then you want to give your guests as much time to plan ahead for travel and accommodation.

When should our RSVP's be returned?

Accepted Answer

Most wedding suppliers need final numbers 4-6 weeks before your wedding date.  You should therefore plan for your RSVP's to be back before then so that you can collate all the information you need.

How many invitations do we need?

Accepted Answer

You do not need an invitation per person, only one per household.  This is usually around 50% of your total guest list, however I would always suggest ordering a few extras incase of last minute guest changes or as a keepsake.

What wording should I use?

Keeping your wording simple.  Save the date cards only need your name, wedding date and venue detailed.  For the main invitation use your names, date, time and venue.  You can then add further information to a details card, such as accommodation, dress code and gift list.  I have a 'wording guide' to help you when we reach that part of your planning.

Who posts the invitations?

I let you post your invitations or deliver them by hand.  I don't post invitations to your guests directly.  I can however address them all for you if you want to keep the same theme flowing through to your envelopes.

Yes, each invitation price includes assembly.

Do you have packages?

In order to create the perfect collection of signs for your wedding day I do not have set packages.  Every wedding is completely unique and the venue requirements are different.  I can help guide you through the right calligraphy details to enhance your wedding day.

Can you send colour samples?

Yes absolutely.  I understand that colours can look very different on a screen and so am very happy to send you colour samples and suggest complimentary options.

When should we get in touch?

For invitations and save the date cards get in touch as soon as you have your wedding date and venue booked.  Usually this is around 18 months before your big day but don't worry if you have a tighter timeline.

For on the day stationery and signage I recommend 6 months in advance to get your date secured in my diary.

The sooner you enquire, the more time we have to bring your ideas to life.

Do we need to pay a deposit?

Yes.  For any items a deposit secures your date in my diary.  I only take on a certain number of weddings each month to allow me to fully focus on your calligraphy details.  This is deducted from your final total.

Can you write in a different font?

Everything I create features my signature calligraphy style.  You cannot find this style anywhere else making your stationery completely unique and exclusive to Clare Warren Calligraphy.

What are the delivery options?

You are very welcome to collect everything from my home in Attleborough, Norfolk.  Alternatively, invitations are send via recorded delivery or a courier.  Signage is again sent this way or I can delivery directly to your venue.

For table plans and place cards I will need your finalised guest list 6 weeks before your wedding day.  As part of working with me, I create a detailed timeline for you which highlights all of the dates I will need any information by.

Yes, everything is yours to keep as a keepsake of your wedding day.

Do you post the invitations/save the date cards?

No I don't post the invitations/save the date cards for you.  You may be choosing to hand deliver some or perhaps you have friends and family abroad needing different postage.  Therefore, it is your responsibility to post them.

Yes absolutely.  Envelopes come with all invitations or save the date cards.

What can I customise?

Other than my calligraphy style, everything else is customisable.  This includes colours, materials, ink colour and additional embellishments such as ribbon and wax seals.

Do you send proofs of my stationery?

Yes absolutely.  I send digital proofs of everything before being sent to print or before I starting hand writing the smaller details.  This means you can visually see how everything will come together plus make any amendments until all is perfect.

Can I order more invitations at a later date?

Yes this is possible, however one-off printing costs are more expensive.  I will guide you through any extras you may need in our initial conversation to cover additional guests, lost invites or keepsakes.

What do I do about last minute guest changes?

Don't worry, I am very used to this happening.  As I handwrite the on-the-day details, I do not have to rely on printing processes.  I can write any last additions very last minute.

Yes.  While I'm based in Norfolk, I work with couples across the UK.  Stationery can be delivered safely by courier.
